Monogamy is the practice of being married to only one person and having only one sexual relationship with one person. While polygyny is when a man can have more than one wife or have a sexual relationship with more than one person. I guess to me I think there are a lot of advantages about Monogamy It could be that that’s what i am used to though i guess. But I think that to me the advantages to Monogamy would be that you have that person to yourself. You would be able to get to know that person better because you would have all your time to spend with that one person. You would have a better chance exploring that person. While the disadvantages of polygyny would be having to share your spouse with another person. Also you wouldn’t exactly have the time to get to know that person as good as someone that was just married to one person. Another disadvantage of being Polygyny would be that you couldn’t spend all your time with that person because they have another wife. I guess to me there are no advantages to polygyny because I wouldn’t want to have a husband that I had to share with someone else. I also don’t think there any disadvantages of being married to just one person. I definitely think it would be way easier to be married to one person I think that if you had more than one wife there would be maybe more fighting and jealousy. But I wouldn’t judge anyone that wants to live that lifestyle but to me I think i would just stick with my norm and be only married to one person. I think these are my thoughts because that’s what I grew up thinking was normal.
